Shipping & Returns

Mortellus’s shop is a one-person operation. Every item is handmade, packed, and shipped by Mortellus alone, alongside an unpredictable life that includes family responsibilities, deathcare work, clergy obligations, activism, public speaking, and travel. This means that shipping timelines are variable by necessity, not negligence.

Shipping

Orders are shipped as time and circumstances allow. While every effort is made to send items out in a reasonable timeframe, shipping may occasionally take longer than expected due to factors outside of Mortellus’s control—including caregiving, funerary work, emergencies, or travel.

Additionally, certain devotional items—such as talismans, spirit boards, and other unique or spirit-led works—are created according to spiritual timing rather than commercial schedules. These items may take many months, or in some cases over a year, to complete. By ordering such items, you acknowledge and accept this fact.

If you need an item by a specific date, you must contact Mortellus before placing your order to confirm whether that timeline is possible. Orders placed without prior coordination should be assumed to ship on an undefined but sincere timeline.

Once an item has been shipped, Mortellus is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by postal services.

Returns & Refunds

All sales are final.

Due to the handmade, devotional, and small-batch nature of the items offered, no refunds, exchanges, or replacements are available under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • shipping delays

  • postal loss or damage

  • buyer error

  • changes of mind

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept these terms.

A Note on Care & Communication

If something arrives damaged, delayed, or not quite as expected, you are welcome to reach out. While refunds cannot be offered, Mortellus does make a good-faith effort to communicate clearly and compassionately when issues arise.

This shop exists because of care, craft, and devotion—not speed or scale. Thank you for supporting small, human, imperfect, deeply intentional work.
