Skull Talisman
After a year spent in ritual and conversation with what is now a dear friend, it has become time to honor what they seem to be asking for. This particular skull came into my posession after it was damaged by vandals after many years as a school study piece. Necromancy is, at its core about recycling, and this skull, for better or worse, was bound for the garbage. I was allowed to purchase it, and bring it into my care, and now, I have the honor to make something beautiful and magical of it.
Truly, one cannot put a price on the life that this person once led. What I must do instead, is put a price on the cost of acquiring it, a price for silver, and a price for my labor. I have carefully calculated each item to weight, and taken an incredible amount of time to not only ritually embue each with energies aligned to ancestral protection and death magic—but to learn silversmithing to do all of the hand work myself.
This piece contains a round pendant piece (20MM) of skull featuring a section of Coronal sutures, Frontal/Parietal—right, set in fine silver. The magical purpose of this piece is three-fold. First: it acts as a classic evil eye pendant, warding away ills. Secondly: the spirit associated with the piece stands at the ready to whisper a warning if a situation or person is unsafe. Lastly: it aids in communication with the dead. If you have natural mediumship abilities it will give you a boost. If you have none, it will act as a stand-in for that natural ability.
Notably
Pendants like these are typically leveled into their base with sawdust. I have chosen for this purpose dust from a 300 year old disinterred coffin. Additionally, this item does not include a chain. The one pictured is for display only.

Shipping Policy for Skull Talismans
For those of you who pre-ordered in October: these will ship in December (the date has not yet been determined).
For those ordering after November 1st: Your pieces are made to order, in the order received, and will take no less than one month to create (excluding Mortellus' vacation dates in December). If you'd like more information including an estimate of shipping for your piece, reach out to Mortellus through the contact page.
Shipping will be billed separately via Paypal at a rate calculated for your address and per your shipping instructions (such as insurance, etc). If you require international shipping, or a different method, please reach out through our contact page to arrange for invoicing.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
All sales are final. Mortellus reserves the right to cancel or decline any order, for any reason. If you require a cancellation of your pre-order, you will receive shop credit for the amount paid.
Shipping Restrictions
Please note that you are responsible for knowing the laws in your area. Mortellus cannot ship these talismans to Georgia, Tennessee, or Louisiana, and they cannot be responsible/liable in the event that your piece is siezed by any authority or lost in shipping. Should the address for your order be one of these states, Mortellus will reach out to you for an accurate shipping address or cancel your order if relevant.
Shipping Damages or Losses
In a perfect world, a section like this one would not be necessary, but sadly, the postal service has been damaging packages more and more of late. Mortellus wishes they could replace every single one in the rare instance that this happens (and sometimes does) but can't in every instance. If you'd like shipping insurance, reach out before placing your order (tracking numbers are always provided). Otherwise, if something goes sideways in the mail, reach out and Mortellus will do all that they can to assist, but as a general policy: Mortellus is not responsible for items damaged or lost in shipping, and cannot offer replacements.
